Two Islands share a slice of 'Heaven'

The best tracks are often those that reflect their name and this is very much the case with Liverpool collective Two Islands' debut single, 'Heaven'.

Following the lineage of many great Merseysiders who have gone before them, Two Islands are the latest addition to the exciting Liverpool scene which is bursting at the seams with a ton of musical talent and they look set to accomplish a healthy dose of success too.

'Heaven' is a compelling first taste that comes complete with shimmering melodies and tumbling grooves. The track is characterised by a disco funk style bass line that takes charge and propels it through to its luscious finale.

The layered delight serves as a strong indicator of what's to come from Two Islands in the future.

Little is known about the band themselves but their ambition is clear. "We want to reclaim the romance of falling in love with an artist solely through their songs, something that has been lost in the internet era.

"We're not looking to hide, we just want to engage through our music." Engaging with listeners is something the group won't have a hard time doing.

Two Islands could really be onto something if they continue making music in the same vein as 'Heaven'. Keep an ear out for more offerings from them soon.
