Spector 'Stay High'

BRIT four-piece Spector are back on fine form with the earth-shatteringly awesome 'Stay High' taken from the follow up ('Moth Boys') to 2012's debut 'Enjoy It While It Lasts'.

Frontman Fred MacPherson claims the accomplished cut "is about keeping yourself distracted while everything around you goes to shit" If you're after a single that's intimate yet strung together quite ambitiously then this is for you.

The track opens with a dreamy, slow-building sound with a chorus that would lend itself well to a coming of age film soundtrack. It's an infectious belter at heart, which you'll find yourself humming without realising.

Spector have fared well since their debut and this latest cut oozes with a decent dose of festival friendly lyrics and an assault of catchy beats, however it's in the same vein to previous releases and listeners know what to expect from the band; don't expect anything too radical.

This is an exhilarating return to form for the group and 'Stay High' appears to be the blueprint for their entire philosophy. We can't wait to see what Spector have to offer on their upcoming tour. Catch them at Reading and Leeds Festivals and on their UK tour this October.
