Lana Del Rey 'West Coast'

LANA DEL REY has premiered the first single from the forthcoming album 'Ultraviolence'. 'West Coast' which was unveiled during the singer's Coachella performance, was produced by The Black Keys' Dan Auerbach and recorded in Nashville.  Del Rey labelled the track as: "So wrong and exquisite. It is absolutely gorgeous - darker than the first."
The meandering first cut is a swirling slice of psych that grips with crunchy percussion and lulling beats. Del Rey's breathy pillow talk vocals softly croon as the dreamy slow-building sound alerts fans Lana is definitely back on form.
If this is a taste of what to expect from future material, we're surely in for a treat. The singer throws in cascading melodies with a much needed dose of slow burning intensity that keeps giving until the last note fades out.
'West Coast' is released via Polydor Records and will be available to download on May 18.
